Inexperienced management and lack of drive

Hourly is state minimum and flat rate is only a few dollars extra. Efficiency bonus for techs is tiered; 125%=+$1, 135%=+$2, 150% or higher = +$3. Dispatcher is foreman and when they are not there then it is the service manager. GM is just looking to make the most money in their own pocket.
All technicians including foreman are friendly and work together to help each other when needed. Higher quality work ethic as well as being one of the higher rated VW dealers in the district.
Service manager and service writers have no drive and struggle to sell. Warranty, warranty, warranty and the occasional goodwill…parts department has one competent employee and the rest are airheads.
Advice for mechanics
When negotiating pay they will not pay you what you are worth. Don’t waste your time if they don’t meet your number…they never will.
