This Consumer Notice provides important information for everyone who uses Shop-Rate.com (“Website”), operated by Shop Rate Solutions LLC — including technicians and others who read reviews, and shop owners who purchase a subscription. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.

Part A — For Everyone Reading Reviews

1. Reviews Are Opinions, Not Facts

Reviews and ratings on Shop-Rate.com are the personal opinions and first-hand experiences of individual technicians about shops as employers. They are not statements of fact, are submitted anonymously, and may not reflect the experience of every current or former employee.

2. Reviews Are Not Independently Verified

We do not independently verify the accuracy of every review. While we moderate content under our Flagging & Moderation Policy and remove content that violates our policies, you should not treat any single review as a guarantee of what your experience will be.

3. How Ratings Work

Ratings are calculated from user-submitted reviews and may change over time as new reviews are added. Advertising, sponsorship, and paid subscriptions do not influence ratings or their calculation, as described in our Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy.

4. No Endorsement

Listings, reviews, ratings, verified badges, and advertisements do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Shop Rate Solutions LLC. Use your own judgment and conduct independent research before making employment or business decisions.

Part B — For Subscribers and Paying Customers

5. Paid Subscriptions

Some features (for example, Shop-Rate Pro for verified shop owners) are offered as paid subscriptions. Before you purchase, the applicable price and billing period are presented to you. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method.

6. Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. We will charge your payment method for each renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that period ends.

8. Refunds

Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and cancelling partway through a billing period does not entitle you to a prorated refund. Nothing in this notice limits any non-waivable rights you may have under consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction.

9. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers. Your payment information is processed according to the processor’s terms and privacy policy. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle related information.

10. Billing Questions

If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing question, contact us promptly at shopratesupport@gmail.com so we can help resolve it.

11. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Consumer Notice from time to time. Changes become effective when posted with an updated date above.
