Welcome to Shop-Rate.com ("Website"), owned and operated by Shop Rate Solutions LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Website.

1. Eligibility

2. User Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity occurring under their accounts.

Some features, including submitting reviews, voting and commenting on community polls, and submitting pay information, can be used without an account. These Terms apply to all users, whether or not they have an account.

3. User Reviews

Users may submit reviews based only on their genuine, first-hand experiences working at, or interviewing with, a business. Reviews are published anonymously by default.

You agree not to submit reviews that:

• Are false, misleading, or fraudulent.
• Contain defamatory statements.
• Include threats, harassment, or hate speech.
• Reveal another person's private information.
• Infringe on copyrights or trademarks.
• Are created in exchange for payment without proper disclosure.

Shop Rate Solutions LLC reserves the right to remove or moderate any content that violates these Terms. All content must also comply with our Review Guidelines and Community Guidelines, and is moderated under our Flagging & Moderation Policy.

4. Community Polls and Comments

Users may vote on community polls and post comments. Comments posted while signed in display your username; comments posted without an account are shown without a name. Voting and commenting may be limited per device. Poll results reflect the votes of participating users only and are not scientific surveys. Comments are subject to the same content rules as reviews.

5. Pay Expectations

Users may submit pay information, which is shown only as combined totals and ranges. Pay Expectations data is user-reported, is not verified, and may not reflect actual pay at any shop or in any area. It is provided for general information only and is not wage, salary, legal, or financial advice. You agree to submit only pay information you believe to be accurate.

6. Business Listings, Verification, and Owner Responses

Business listings may be created from publicly available information, user submissions, or by the businesses themselves.

Shop owners may claim, verify, and respond to reviews for their listing subject to our Verification Program Terms and Business Owner Response Policy. Businesses may request corrections to factual information through our designated contact process.

7. Job Listings

The Website may display job listings posted by shops. Shop Rate Solutions LLC is not an employer, employment agency, or staffing agency, and does not take part in hiring decisions. Shops are solely responsible for their job listings, including accuracy of pay and benefits and compliance with employment laws. We do not guarantee any listing, job, or outcome, and any application or employment relationship is solely between you and the shop. We may remove job listings at our discretion.

8. Memberships and Subscriptions

We offer paid subscriptions, such as Shop-Rate Pro for verified shop owners. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Paid subscriptions do not affect how reviews or ratings are counted. Full terms are in our Verification Program Terms and Consumer Notice.

9. No Endorsement

Listings, reviews, ratings, job listings, advertisements, and featured businesses do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Shop Rate Solutions LLC.

10. Intellectual Property

All Website design, branding, logos, software, graphics, and original content are the property of Shop Rate Solutions LLC unless otherwise noted.

Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Shop Rate Solutions LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, modify for formatting purposes, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the Website.

11. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

• Post fake reviews, votes, comments, or pay reports.
• Manipulate ratings, poll results, or pay data.
• Evade per-device limits, for example by clearing cookies or using multiple devices to submit duplicate content.
• Impersonate another person or business.
• Attempt unauthorized access to the Website.
• Upload malicious software.
• Use automated tools to scrape or copy Website content without permission.

12. Advertisements and Sponsored Content

The Website may display advertisements, sponsored listings, featured listings, affiliate links, or promoted businesses, including advertising served through third-party advertising networks. Sponsored content will be identified as described in our Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy. Advertising does not constitute an endorsement, and paid placement does not influence the reviews or ratings submitted by users.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shop Rate Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Website or reliance on user-generated content.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shop Rate Solutions LLC, its officers, employees, affiliates, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the Website or your violation of these Terms.
